Welcome to Williams Farm Books! Those who live and work on farms prepare the soil, plant, irrigate, pull weeds, drive out pests, and after months of hard work, harvest a crop that not only meets needs but also enriches a community and beyond. Writing stories follows a similar path. Each word sown on the page is nurtured through revisions and dedication, eventually blossoming into a tale that resonates with you, the reader.
A native Arizonan, I come from a pioneer heritage where strong women stood shoulder to shoulder with their men in Texas and Arizona, handling challenges like killing a rattlesnake as effortlessly as baking a pie. Inspired by these women and many others I’ve encountered, I believe everyone has a story to tell. Whether writing historical fiction, cozy mysteries, or YA time travel, each story is a journey of discovery, proving that a woman’s intelligence, unwavering devotion, and determination are worth “far more than rubies.”
My work has garnered excellent reviews from Kirkus and the Historical Fiction Co., and was honored with an Honorable Mention at the Paris Book Festival. I was also a finalist in the 2023 American Writing Awards. My books have received attention in prominent publications such as True West and Western Writers Roundup magazines. I am a proud member of the Historical Novel Society, the Arizona Authors Association, the Western Writers of America, and the Arizona Territorial Society.
I love to travel and am fortunate to have visited much of this beautiful country and the world. Visit my travel blog at https://wanderinwalkers.wordpress.com/

My old friend Kip Boyd sent me several historical files about Caroline Westcott Romney. He'd researched her as one of the founding members of his church in Durango and wrote up...
In between projects, I started work on a novella about a young man named Randy Stuart and his solitary experience hitchhiking through Europe and northern Africa in 1970. It's...
My book signings in Fry's Food & Drug Stores on Willow Creek Rd in Prescott and in Prescott Valley turned out great. At all the book signings, arranged through the Authors...
I've been doing some book signings lately, and this brand is on the skirt of my display tablecloth. It seems to trigger unusual questions, so I thought it might be a good idea to explain it.
I spent many happy hours at the Williams farm south of Chandler, Arizona, from the time I was a little girl in the 50s to an almost teenager. The farm is long gone now, dozed over and developed into thousands of homes. My dad, his brother, and his sisters grew up and worked on that farm. And when they...
My historical fiction about a real woman, Sarah Herring, A New York Lady In Helldorado, was enjoyable for me to write. I love history and spent many hours searching out all I could find about her life. I found a couple of newspaper and magazine articles, and a Wikipedia page gave me more information and resources. If any of you have read a biography by such authors/historians as David McCollough or a book of history, such as Bruce Catton's books about the Civil War, you know these books...
I've been a writer all my life. I wrote letters a lot when I was growing up. No one called long distance unless it was an emergency. Then I read the book, Anne Frank - A Diary of a Young Girl. So I got a diary and wrote. In fifth grade, my teacher chose me to write an article for the local newspaper that featured my byline and picture. In high school, I had study hall, and used most of the time to write bad poetry and more. Usually about what I wanted in life, or my feelings and thoughts....
