Despite a background in technical writing, I love writing fiction about strong women. I'm descended from strong Pioneer Women who worked alongside their fathers, brothers, or husbands on farms in Texas and Arizona, killing rattlesnakes as easily as baking a pie. Those ancestors and other strong women I've encountered have stories to tell, and I love sharing them with you.
I write historical fiction, but also love mystery and a little magic. I've received excellent reviews from Kirkus, the Historical Fiction Co., BookLife, and others.. I've been a finalist in the 2023 American Writing Awards and received Honorable Mention from the Paris Book Festival and other awards.
I am a second-generation Arizonan and a history enthusiast. I am a member of the Historical Novel Society, the Arizona Authors Association, and the Arizona Territorial Society. I love to travel and am fortunate to have visited much of this beautiful country and the world. Visit my travel blog at https://wanderinwalkers.wordpress.com/
